DP Apparel?
DP Apparel is the first in the apparel business building awareness to mental illness in hopes of bringing us all together. We’re here to let you know that you’re not alone in your fight with depression. The DP brand and logo will be your symbol of our strength, and that together we can wear our depression well, unashamed.
Depression is a mental illness that has a significant effect on a person’s ability to function normally, and is marked by persistent feelings of sadness, emptiness, worthlessness, and hopelessness. These feelings can continue for years if left untreated. It is estimated that up to 15% of the adult population will experience depression at some point in their lifetime.
Depression often does not occur alone—many people living with depression experience some other mental illness as well. Depression has a high rate of co-occurrence with both anxiety (up to 60%) and substance use disorders. A depression crisis hotline can address dangerous substance abuse behaviors and any other mental health challenges that may be contributing to depression. If you are experiencing thoughts of hurting yourself or others, call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency room or psychiatric hospital for a crisis evaluation.

Our Mission
Bring awareness to the fact that is is OKAY to have mental illness and to fight the negative stigma through the use of apparel. WEARING DEPRESSION WELL is about showing your strength for yourself and your community and perhaps someday saving a life.
Our Vision
To see people of all ages, occupations, ethnicities, and mindsets wearing our symbol proud and free. Our hope is that we can build an iconic community of allies and victims to show that no one is alone in their struggles. It’s all about awareness and defeating the stigma.
